BPD Apologies Don’t Mean Any Change
BPD apologies don't mean any change. Often people with BPD will apologize - say the words you tell them you want and need to hear. But do people with Borderline Personality really take personal responsibility in any "apology" - untreated or not well treated - NO!
You, understandably want an apology when you are hurt and/or treated terribly. What can you actually get from a BPD apology? Most often, really, nothing. Why? Because they are just telling you what you want to hear. Many a BPD apology, whether "meant" or not, does not change behaviour. What a person with BPD may "apologize" for, you can count on it happening over and over again.
